Sisterhood Scholarship Program

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This past weekend at the Student Showcase I had the privilege of announcing a new program at Aerial Dance. The Sisterhood Scholarship program is now live and accepting applications!
A few weeks ago I attended a women’s event and ran into a member. While talking she said “I want to help other women find the community and strength I’ve found at Aerial Dance”. She believed so strongly in our positive sisterhood that she asked if I would take a check from her to start a separate fund for women who have an unexpected life event happen that would make them need to put their membership on hold or for new women who need the support of our community but can’t afford it yet. She wanted those women in need to have access to the Aerial Dance Sisterhood during their rough patch.
Together the two of us brainstormed how it would work and what the requirements would be. And we created the program. This scholarship is 100% member driven. This is her idea, and she asked to remain anonymous….she’s amazing and we’re really grateful to have her as part of our community.
Applications are online. A fund is waiting to help our sisters! If you want to contribute to the fund, all amounts are welcome and will be set aside to help as applications come in, contact me. I’m really excited to be able to offer this program to help out in life’s rough spots.
What really moved me on Saturday was that after the show I had two husbands come up to me and give me cash to add to the fund. They believe in what Aerial Dance has done for their wives so they wanted to help other women. How beautiful is that![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
