Aerial Silks Classes:
Intro to Aerial (NOT Required)

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can take this class?
This class is open to women of any size, shape, or fitness level who are over the age of 18. No previous experience is required! If you are male or under 18, contact us for class alternatives.
Do I need to take Intro to Aerial before this?
You can sign up for Beginner Silks without taking an Intro class. Take that Intro class if you’re not sure what apparatus you want to take an hour class on.
What should I wear?
Leggings that are past your knees, a tank top and a light long sleeve top that is form fitting. It is important that all your clothing not have zippers, rhinestones, sequins, or anything sharp as this would damage the apparatus.
What will happen in the class?
Beginner Silks will start with a warm-up off the apparatus. Then you’ll do fitness on the apparatus. You’ll work on three basic skills, like a climb or hip lock. Then you’ll work on two other “fancy” skills or tricks like straddle back or s-wrap. The class will also include some type of spin and trick specific fitness. Class will conclude with stretching as a group. The hour will FLY by!
How do I move to the next level?
When you attend your first Silks class you will be given a card that has all the moves in the Beginner Silks program listed. At every Beginner Silks class or practice you attend you will write the date if a move was “introduced” or when you feel “proficient” in the move. “Proficient” means that you know what the move is and can execute it comfortably. Once 90% of your Beginner Silks card is “proficient” you can ask the instructor to clear you for Intermediate Silks!
How many people are in the class?
Maximum class size is 7, you will have your own silks the entire class.
