I have also been an equestrian my whole life and never really had thought about taking on any other kind of hobbies. Horses had pretty much consumed everything I had time for. One day I decided I wanted to see what may also peak my interest, I needed something other than just the horses, especially for when the winter time would come around. I needed to find a way to keep myself in shape so that when summer came around I would not have lost all my strength for getting back into show season where I needed to be in my prime. I did a search, and found Aerial Dance. I did not really want to do it at first, but I was desperate for something to keep me fit. To my surprise I ended up loving it and I am now also doing it in the summer along with riding season as well!
I have gained so much strength over the last year doing this and I still continue to see myself progressing more and more every day. It is something where you can really get a lot out of it if your mindset is in the right place because the learning never stops. If you want to improve, it takes a lot of practice but it is something that is really fun and does not feel like work! There are always new tricks to be tried and it is a great feeling when you are able to get a new move after working at it for a little bit! I love being able to see myself get better and seeing my body get stronger as well.
I am in the best overall fitness I have been in a long time and it is all thanks to all these wonderful ladies who have helped me along my journey to become the best that I can be! I am so thankful for everyone being so patient and am so happy that I took the chance to give it a try! It is so worth it and I can’t believe I didn’t try this sooner in my life!
