It has been a long road to recovery from my recent back injury. I currently do physical therapy twice a week, and see a chiropractor once per week but I am determined to get better so I can get into the gym again. Going on to the all inclusive members page keeps me motivated to push forward so that I can get back at it. The days are long without being able to get to the gym as the gym helps keep me sane, but in the long run I will come out better, and stronger for this.

This last couple of weeks has been especially rough with being stuck at home for everything aside from work. I am not use to being told no you can’t do that or you are not ready for that yet so it is a bit challenging to hear. I intend to take that challenge and use it as motivation to be where I need to be. I have watched numerous inspirational videos, and read many inspirational posts to keep pushing forward. The most recent being a video of someone finally completed a move on the pole that they have been working on since the summer months of last year. It is just a reminder that one can do anything that they put their mind to, they just have to truly want it. It takes hard work, dedication, and motivation to accomplish these things. I must continue to look forward to the future instead of dwelling on the past.

Each and every day I start my day by writing out my main goals for the day. Every week I look over those goals to see what was achieved, and what still needs work. One goal that has been listed for many of those days is to get back into the studio for pole classes. I have not been cleared by the doctor to return to the gym or the studio as of yet, so that goal is yet to be achieved. I keep it on my list as motivation to keep pushing forward even when it is hard. I will get back into the gym before summer starts, no matter how hard I have to work to do it. Pole is my inspiration.
