A New Month! A New Goal!
Hey Ladies,
It’s a new month and that means a new goal. My goal this month is to work on my hip and hamstring flexibility. To do this I will be using the lung stretch series that many of us are familiar with from Bendy Babe. Adding to this goal ,I will be working on touching my toes. Never in my life have I been able to bend down and touch my toes, It is time for that to change! I plan to start out doing the lung series every other day and stretching to touch my toes every day.
Each week I will be blogging about my progress! This is where my readers come in! Please help me to stay accountable! I tried to follow this challenge before on the ADPE Member page and failed miserably! I was maybe…… maybe faithful for four days. Which is pretty sad, but that is why I am asking you to help me out! If you see me at the studio ask me how I am doing, remind me to stretch, or give me words of encouragement. Stretching is one of my least favorite things to do, Crazy RIght? Flexibility is struggle for me as it is for many who practice Aerial Arts. My hope is to inspire some of you with my posts to work on your flexibility!
Below, I have included my day one pictures. Please know that posting these pictures is extremely difficult for me. My lack of flexibility has always been a big insecurity of mine. Silly as it may seem, it is true. I know that some people are naturally more flexible, where others really have work for it. Unfortunately, I am one of those who really have to work for it. I know my form is not perfect that is why I am going to rely on our instructors to help me correct it. Another side note, these pictures were taken right after Aerial Conditioning with Instructor Lynn who made us sweat buckets. Please don’t mind that I look like a hot sweaty mess!

I have a long way to go on this journey. With summer right around the corner I am hoping that I will be able to give this goal the focus and determination that it deserves! Here is the start to my new goal!
What will be your new goal?
Stay tuned to see my progress!
Until Next TIme!
