I used to complain about working out and not liking my body… I wanted to find an activity, or exercise, that would actually improve my strength AND appearance, but it’s so hard to do trial and error when you are trying to see/feel results. I talked with a friend of mine about joining “Pole Dance” for exercise and we decided to do the Intro to Pole class to see how we liked it.

Needless to say, I fell in love with it! I signed up for the Beginner Class the day of and haven’t thought about stopping ever since. To this day, I am in Advanced Pole Class and have joined in on the Elite Membership so that I can participate in all of the other classes and am really excited to see how my strength and flexibility will improve.

Before starting Pole, I couldn’t do a “pull-up” to save my life, got about halfway up and couldn’t move any further than that. Now, I can do about six to ten of them, depending on the day. I feel like that is a HUGE improvement from where I began and in such a short amount of time.

I get excited to workout now and am working on scheduling life events around my classes instead of cancelling my workout time. It has really been a great experience for me overall, I haven’t given up on my workouts like I used to and can actually feel the results of what I have been working on. I have been attending my Pole classes still, along with other workout-based classes – I am building up the courage to try hoop and hammock classes!

Aside from Aerial and Pole being really beneficial to my health and fitness, it’s just plain fun! There are so many classes that you can enroll in to try new things, they have activities where you can invite friends, and they give opportunities for showcases – where you can actually perform!

On top of being fun, they are so motivational, I have never felt embarrassed by any of the things we do in class or what I look like because literally everyone is accepted, and the instructors are SO motivational. One of my most favorite parts of class is they send an email about the positive things you did in class that day and not the negative. It really inspires you to keep it up!

Come have fun at Aerial Dance! Why not start off with our one-time, trial classes- Intro to Pole or Intro to Aerial?!
