Frequently Asked Questions

Who can take this class?

This class is open to women of any size, shape, or fitness level who are over the age of 18. No previous experience is required! If you are male or under 18, contact us for class alternatives.

What should I wear?

Leggings that are past your knees, a tank top and a light long sleeve top that is form fitting. It is important that all your clothing not have zippers, rhinestones, sequence, or anything sharp as this would damage the apparatus.

What will happen in the class?

When you arrive at Aerial Dance you’ll fill out paperwork. Then we’ll give you a tour of our gorgeous facility as we escort you to the Aerial Studio. Class will begin with a short warm-up off the apparatus. Then you’ll spend roughly 20 minutes on Silks learning a basic climb, foot lock and spin. Then you’ll move to the Aerial Hoop and spend the next 20 minutes learning short sequences of tricks. Class will end with a few basic inversions on Aerial Hammock and stretching. The hour will FLY by!

What if I'm not good?

When are you ever good at something that is new? The goal of your Intro class should be to have fun while trying three new apparatus! Don’t expect to be good, expect to have fun!

I'm nervous....

That is OK! Most of the women who walk through our doors are nervous the first (or first few) times! It’s natural to be nervous when you’re trying something new. Our amazing instructors will guide you through every step of the class and help put you at ease. So be nervous but come and try it anyway!
