Pole Classes
What Happens in Beginner Pole Class?
WARM-UPS
Every class will begin with a warm-up; we vary the style of our warm-ups so you are exposed to different styles of Pole Exercise during your Beginner Pole Course. For example, one week we made do a “Vertical Barre” style of warm-up that is very cardio-based while another week we may do a “Pole Flow” style of dance that will warm you up using slow, controlled and graceful movements.
BUILD STRENGTH
You’ll learn a number of fitness moves on and off the pole to increase your grip strength, shoulder strength, and core strength. Many of these turn into tricks once you have the strength to take them in the air.
TRANSITIONS
Transitions are what segues between tricks and spins. This is how you tell a story, form a dance and move beautifully! You’ll learn over 50 different transition moves in the Beginner Pole class at Aerial Dance.
SPINS
Spins are the foundation of Pole. You’ll learn approximately 25 spins and spin variations. We focus on proper muscle engagement during spins to build a solid foundation for your pole journey!
TRICKS
We also teach some “tricks” in the Beginner Pole class! You’ll start to desensitize your skin by learning to sit and stand on the pole, among other things.
LEARN A ROUTINE!
Yes, by the end of the course you will be able to dance a mini-routine. We take transitions and spins you’ve learned during a class and add a little bit of choreography every week. The result is a great cardio workout and a clear indicator of how far you’ve come.
COST
$99 FOR THE MONTH
In addition to your weekly class, Beginner Pole includes four pole practices during the term, for a total of 8 visits. This is a 4-week class that meets 50-minutes per week. If you cannot attend a week, you have the option to make it up during the 4-week term; just cancel with appropriate notice and find an open pole in another class.

All our Beginner Pole classes have a maximum of 9 ladies, so you have your own pole the entire class and a LOT of individual attention!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who can take this class?
This class is open to women of any size, shape, or fitness level who are over the age of 18. No previous experience is required! If you are male or under 18, contact us for class alternatives.
Do I need to take Intro to Pole before this?
You can sign up for Beginner Pole without taking an Intro class.
What should I wear?
Shorts that are above the knee and a tank top. We dance in bare feet.
How many people are in the class?
Everyone has their own Pole so that maximum class size is 9.

By registering for a Beginner Pole class you are purchasing a membership for a 4-week renewing monthly membership. You can cancel your membership at any time by emailing. If you wish to terminate before the next month payment, send cancellation notice before the 19th of the month; otherwise your membership will be cancelled after the next month.
