Course Content

Some of the most significant barriers to women’s wellness are misinformation about health and hyperemphasis on weight. Understanding how diet culture has negatively impacted your eating habits and body image can help you escape its trap. Recognizing that a healthy body comes in many sizes and your habits are what truly influence your health is where your power lies.
The people in your life deeply impact your beliefs and habits surrounding food and your body. Desiring social acceptance gives cultural fads power over your eating choices and appearance. Investing in connections with others that nourish your wellness goals is the path to sustainable health.
Movement is critical to your health and longevity but is not limited to exercise. Food is critical to your life; understand the basic nutrition terms to make more informed decisions that lead to increased wellbeing and satisfaction. This class ends with a hands on cooking session!
Your body does not exist to look good; it exists to survive and participate in your life. Complex biological systems maintain balance with your eating and weight. To work with your body, rather than work against it, is to utilize this natural wisdom.
If being mean to yourself worked, you would be the size you wanted. Self-compassion is a critical component to your internal relationship and supports sustainable motivation.
Learn how your body processes food and utilizes the energy from it. Leverage nutrition science facts to dispel mainstream diet misinformation. Learn practical, cheap and clever food handling techniques to make cooking fun. This class ends with a hands on cooking session!
Everyone has an opinion on what your body needs. Practice tuning in to what your body actually asks of you. Differentiate physical cues, emotional reactions, and thought patterns to help manage your eating and exercise actions.

Every woman will go through the menopause transition. What does it mean? What can be expected? And, most importantly, how can you deal with it? Learn strategies for minimizing menopausal symptoms with strong physical fitness and helpful nutritional concepts.

Nutrition is for life, not for just today. Incorporate nutrition everyday in a satisfying way so you can improve your well being now and when you’re 60. Learn fun ways to increase your food variety and enhance your quality of life with food. This class ends with a hands on cooking session!
Honor your body’s internal cues even when you are inundated with information and stimuli from your busy daily life. Progress comes from taking small opportunities for wellness and learning to reset when needed.
Women inherently know how to nourish. You see others grow and learn to love themselves with the support of your compassion. Turn this gift inwards, and receive the support you provide.

Alicia Brown, RDN

Alicia helps women improve their nutrition and overall satisfaction with food by finding confidence with home cooking, understanding nutrition science basics, and strengthening their mind-body (and food-body) connection. Once caught up in disordered eating, Alicia transformed herself into a dietitian who ditches unnecessary food restrictions and prioritizes food joy and nutrition integration instead. After six years working 1:1 in private practice seven years total as a dietitian, Alicia continues to take women out of the dieting cycle by guiding them toward ways of eating well, without food rules, for life.

Marina Heck, CMC, CNC

When Marina transitioned into menopause five years ago, she decided she wanted to help other women. Therefore, she has decided to help educate women on the how’s, why’s and do’s of the body and mind to help with this transition. She has several certifications ranging from nutrition, personal training, life coaching, and of course menopause.
